	While sitting talking to some friends in the Meyer Grocery store at 
about 10 o’clock Wednesday morning, David A. Butler suddenly dropped to the 
floor and life at once became extinct.  Death was evidently due to weak heart 
action.
	Mr. Butler had been a familiar figure about Delta for several years 
making him home on Meeker Street with his wife.
	He was born in North Carolina, on Nov. 25, 1851.  He passed from life 
Oct. 25, 1922, being about 71 years of age at the time of his death.  He is 
survived by his wife alone.
	Funeral services will be held this morning at Remley’s Mortuary, 
conducted by Rev. R. E. Sherman of the Presbyterian Church.  Interment in 
Garnet Mesa Cemetery.
