	Mrs. D. A. Butler died at 2:00 this morning after a lingering 
illness.  Hemorrhage of the stomach was the cause of death.  Funeral services 
will be held at the M. E. church tomorrow at 2:00 PM.

	Mrs. David Butler, who resides about one and one half miles from this 
city, underwent an operation for ulcer of the stomach Thursday afternoon.  She 
had been quite ill for several months and the operation was decided upon as 
the only hope of relief.  Her physical condition was not an encouraging point 
for the local surgeons in attendance, but the operations was successfully 
performed and the patient is reported doing nicely, and there is now every 
hope of complete recovery.

Serious stomach ailment causes Mrs. Butler’s death.
	Mrs. David Butler, a sufferer from a ulcer of the stomach for over a 
year past, died at the home of the family at 2 o’clock last Friday afternoon, 
her devoted husband and two children being at the bedside when the end came.  
	The patient sufferer had been in the care of a physician for some 
months prior to her demise and she was frequently suggested that an operation 
should be performed in order to insure permanent relief, but the ailing one 
always chose to deter the operation in the hope that she might recover without 
that trying ordeal.  She gradually declined however, and the operation was 
performed the fore part of last week.  Her weakened condition made her unable 
to withstand the great shock and death followed.
	Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church at 2 o’clock Saturday 
afternoon, and interment was in Delta cemetery.
