Hetzel, 86, 131 White, died late Tuesday night following a five-week illness.. Services for the deceased have not yet been arranged. Mr. Hetzel, a resident of the Grand Valley area for the past 47 years was born July 11, 1864, at Springfield, Ill where he lived with his parents until they moved to Longmont, Colo. in 1870. He resided in Longmont until 1903 when he moved to western Colorado. The deceased was married to Sarah F. Scarlett who died in 1906, [married] on Jan 1 1895. On June 2, 1907 he married Amy M. Scarlett, who also preceded him in death, along with three children. Surviving are two sons, e. r. Hetzel, Appleton; Kenneth M. Hetzel, Pamona; a sister, Mrs. L. P. Dorman, Los Angeles, Calif.; nine grand children and three great grand children.
