Delta Independent: Wednesday April 4, 1951 pg. 5.
	Graveside services for Wallace E. McKie 89 will be held Thursday 
morning at 10 O’clock at Delta cemetery.  The Lumar funeral home is in charge 
of arrangements.
	Wallace McKie was born July 21, 1870 in Michigan, and died April 1, 
1951, at Delta Memorial hospital after a long illness.  He spent his childhood 
in Kansas coming to Delta County about 60 years ago.  He was a retired 
carpenter.  He was a member of the Knights of Pithias and the IOOF lodge.  He 
was married Jan. 10, 1900, at Delta to Bertha O’Rourke who preceded him in 
death.
	Only survivors are two sisters-in-law.  Mrs. Joe Armour, Delta and 
Mrs. Katherine Gentry, Los Angeles; a nice, Mrs. Leona Richards, Norwood, and 
a nephew, Jack Smiver, New Mexico.
