McKie, Bertha (O’Rourke)
Delta Independent: Thursday, July 21, 1949.
	Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha McKie were held Monday, July 18, at 
8:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic church with Father Lucien Lareau 
officiating.  Fulfilling a promise made years ago, a nice, Mrs. Agneta Ensley, 
sang “Face to Face” at the close of the services.  Members of the family who 
served as pallbearers were Bernard Butler, Jack Butler, Jess Ensley, Ernie 
Ensley, Robert Henderson, and Ralph Henderson.  A rosary service was held 
Sunday evening at 7:30 o’clock at Larmar chapel.  Burial was in Delta cemetery.
	Bertha O’Rourke was born April 8, 1877 at Montgomery City, MO., and 
died July 14, 1949 at her home, 704 Meeker Street.
	She was married Jan. 10, 1900 at Delta to W. E. McKie, who survives.
	Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Joe Armour, Delta, and Mrs. 
Kathryn Gentry, Los Angeles.
