Meeker at her home of the ranch of Mrs. C. G. Stout, west of Paonia. Funeral service was conducted by the Rev. E. E. Scates in the Christian church Tuesday afternoon. Music was provided by Mrs. Bessie Crosby, Mrs. Carl McIlravy, A. B. Ullrey, and D. Eikenberry, with Mrs. C. K. Wilson as instrumental accompanist. Pallbearers were James Schlangen, C. K. Wilson, William Huyser, John Faulk, Byron Willis and Guy S. Nelson. Interment was in Cedar Hill cemetery, directed by the Tripp Funeral Service. Rosa Ethel Crabtree was born Feb. 7, 1878 in Kirksville, Mo. At the early age of 14 years [Aug. 14, 1892] she married Thomas O. Meeker of that city which continued to be their home until 1935, when they came to Paonia. Of the five children born to them four preceded the mother to the life beyond, the remaining son being Aubrey Meeker of Delta.* She united with the Christian church at Queen City, Mo., at the age of 13 years. Besides her husband she leaves five brothers and three sisters-Orville, Homer, Nova, and A. Crabtree and Mrs. Martha Humphrey, all of Paonia; Oren Crabtree of Wisconsin; Mrs. Belle Thrasher of Missouri, and Mrs. Myrtle Ammerman of Los Angeles, Calif.
