He was 71. He was a farmer and had been a resident of the Delta area for more than 60 years. Mr. Stark was born Dec. 10, 1915, in Pueblo, to George Henry and Margaret Osterman Stark. He spend his early childhood in Pueblo, and his family moved to the Delta area when he was young boy. He graduated from the Read School east of Delta, and lived and farmed in the area the rest of his life. He loved fishing and collecting junk. He was a Catholic. He served in the US Army from 1942 to 1945. Mr. Stark is survived by two brothers, Henry of Potter Valley, Calif., and John of Denver; four sisters, Lillie Ball of Fremont, Calif., Mary Butler of Delta, Helen Roth of Fruita and Margaret Hasty of Leadville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Five brothers are deceased. Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Delta with the Rev. Vincente Paz en la Casa officiating. Burial will be at the Delta City Cemetery with the Delta VFW Post 3571 providing graveside military honors. Roberts Funeral Home in Delta is in charge of arrangements.
