J. Alexander Was Pioneer Miner and Resident of Lincoln, Neb. S. J. Alexander, a member of the Colorado Veterans' Association, died yesterday at the home of his nephew, G. E. Nightingale, 1360 Clayton Avenue. He came here from Lincoln, Neb., six weeks ago. Alexander first came to Colorado in 1860 and became interested in mining. In 1862 he enlisted in the First Colorado Cavalry under G. H. Hardin. At the close of the war he settled in Lincoln and for many years was state agent for the German-American Insurance Company.
