   Services for Jesse M. Brown , 75, of 4560 Vrain St., were Monday at 
Howard's-Berkeley Park Chapel, 4345 W. 46th Ave. Burial was at Crown Hill.
   Brown, who retired in 1966 from the Denver Sanitation Department, died 
Thursday at Lutheran Hospital after a long illness.
   He was born Nov. 29, 1895, in St. Joseph, Mo. He went to school in St. 
Joseph and on Aug. 28, 1919, married Lula L. Stephens there.
   In 1923 the couple moved to Denver and Brown went to work at the Ford Motor 
Co. assembly plant. Later he operated his own retail bakery route, then went 
to work for the city. Mr. and Mrs. Brown celebrated their 50th wedding 
anniversary in 1969.
   He is survived by his widow: two sons, Milton E. Brown and James I. Brown, 
both of Denver; a sister, Mrs. Levy Moody, Houston, Tex.., 10 grandchildren 
and six great-grandchildren.
