Obituary: GOETZMAN, Mrs. Frederick, Rocky Mountain News, Denver, Jan. 25, 1911, page 5 http://files.usgwarchives.net/co/denver/obits/g/goetzman_mrs_fred_1911.txt Transcribed and Contribted by: Rita Timm 2001 - 2002 ================================================= Clubwoman Dies; End Hastened by Work for Charity. MRS. FREDERICK GOETZMAN, NATIVE NEW YORKER, HAD LIVED HERE 30 YEARS. Mrs. Frederick Goetzman, wife of the chief draftsman for the Board of Public Works, one of the best known clubwomen in Denver, died yesterday at her home, 1374 Ogden Street, after a long illness. She devoted consider- able time in October to "The Streets of All Nations", the elaborate Woman's Club charity entertainment given in the Auditorium, and it is thought this hard work hastened her death. Mrs. Goetzman was born in Clifton Springs, NY and came to Denver in 1881 after her marriage. She was a member of the Woman's Club, in the art and literature department, of which she was especially prominent; of the Denver Woman's Press Club, of the Meade Relief Corps and of St. Mark's Aid Society. =================================================== Contributed for use by the USGenWeb Archive Project (http://www.usgenweb.org) and by the COGenWeb Archive Project USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organization or persons.
