ROWLAND DIES -------------- Veteran Catholic Register Writer, Famous for "About Town" Column. Thomas F. Rowland, a resident of this city for many years and connected with the Denver Catholic Register since it was founded thirty years ago, died yesterday at his home, 1113 W. Fourteenth Avenue, aged 55 years. Rowland was born in Pennsylvania, but came to Colorado when a young man. During his residence here he made a host of friends and gained popularity through his "About Town" column in the Catholic Register. Rowland also contributed many poems to The News. He was of a modest disposition, but had many warm friends. He is survived by a wife and two sons, Edward and John.
