Former Brush Resident Dies in Denver J. H. Stewart, formerly of Brush, died at the Presbyterian hospital Saturday, following a stroke of apoplexy he had suffered Thursday. He was 86 years old and had been a resident of the state of Colorado since 1886. Mr. Stewart formerly lived in Brush with his family and moved with them to Denver in 1916. He retired at that time from his trade as blacksmith and sold his property to the late Peter Sorensen who carried on the business in the same location. Mr. Stewart was the oldest living member of the Odd Fellows lodge in the state, both from the years of service and of age. He was a long time member of the Presbyterian church. He is survived by two sons, Dr. Charles H. Stewart of Denver and George P. Stewart of Chicago; a daughter, Mrs. Vera A Bartlett of Denver; a brother, George B. Stewart of Des Moines, Iowa, and Seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were conducted in the Olinger Mortuary, Speer blvd. and Sherman st. at 9:30 A.M. today, Wednesday. Burial was in Crown Hill cemetery.
