A. Wade, Slain in Memorable Battle. Mrs. Mary Alma Rose Wade, whose husband, Captain Charles Ashton Wade, was killed at the battle of Shiloh, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. H. Dickinson, 1580 Cook Street. Cap- tain Wade's name appears in the historical records of the terrible battle in which he lost his life while an officer of the Twenty- fifth regiment of Missouri volunteers. Mrs. Wade was born in Lockport, N. Y., and was married in 1862. She made her home in Michigan after the death of her husband, and until a few years ago, when she came to Denver to live with her daughter. Her grand-daughter is Mrs. Rice W. Means. Mrs. Wade was 77 years of age.
