His address was a message straight from the heart of a man of highest ideals and broad experience and will long be remembered by those who were privileged to hear him. The program was opened with an invocation by Rev. MacLaughlin, after which a song by a double quartet was given. The applause it received is the best evidence of how it was appreciated. After the address by Dr. Slocum, The Class of '12 sang a song which was much appreciated. The diplomas were presented by the president of the High School Board. Mr. John Anderson and the scholarships were awarded by Mr. C. A. Bent, secretary of the Board. Miss Ethel Cantril and Miss Flossie Day were tied for highest honors, with Miss Myra Wolf next, and the Misses Iva Lambert and Helen Bennet and Mr. William White holding equal rank for third place. The scholarships awarded are from Colorado College, Boulder University, Denver University and the Colorado Agricultural College.
