Tucker of Larkspur are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday at Andrews Funeral Home Chapel in Castle Rock. The Rev. William Weir will officiate. Interment will be in Bear Canyon Cemetery, Sedalia. Mrs. Tucker, 92, died Feb. 16 at home in the mountains which she loved and in which she lived for many years. She was born in Castle Rock, June 25, 1893 and spent her childhood on a cattle ranch near Larkspur with her five brothers and sisters. She graduated from Douglas County High School in 1912. Mrs. Tucker, the former Elsie Palm, married Earl Tucker in 1913. Her two children live near the family's original home. A lifetime resident of Douglas County, Mrs. Tucker believed in protecting the land. An avid learner, she remembered much of her schooling and entertained people over the years with a score of poems she knew by heart. She was always there for children who needed someone, offering love, advice, a job, meals and a place to stay. Surviving Mrs. Tucker are sone George Tucker, Larkspur; daughter, Jean Allen, Larkspur; brother Gilbert Palm, Castle Rock; and sister Edith Cha, Englewood. Mrs. Tucker leaves 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great- great-grandchildren.
