Edwards Cemetery, Edwards, Eagle County, Colo Contributed by JoAnn Potter Riggle, japotter@vail.net. Contributed for use by the USGenWeb Project. Before copying this file read the Project notice at the end of the file. Any questions about the listing, please contact JoAnn Potter, japotter@vail.net / last updated 21 Jan 1999. This cemetery is located 1 mile east of Edwards on Highway 6. Section 3 Township 6 south Range 83 west of the 6th P.M. There are actually two cemeteries here. The smaller one is fenced off to the west of the larger. I have listed the inscriptions for this smaller cemetery at the bottom of this list. There are included two dogs. The oldest grave in the larger cemetery is 1889. I have scanned in pictures of most of the markers in the larger cemetery. The numbers in (xx) are referring to the location of the grave in the cemetery. I have a map that I made and would be more than happy to send along a copy upon request. Obits and Monument Photos are available for some names as indicated by notes below. See the Eagle County COGenWeb Site- www.rootsweb.com/~coeagle/cemeteries.html To obtain a copy of a unlisted obit see- www.rootsweb.com/~coeagle/obit-info.html Note: Esther KLATT retired Eagle Co. school teacher and resident of Edwards provided the names marked [Info from Esther KLATT].
