Sophia D. Beach , widow of Melachon S. Beach, who with R.E. Cable founded 

Colorado City in 1859.

b. abt 1845

d. age 80, 26 Jan. 1925 in C/S., El Paso, CO

Burial in Evergreen Cemetery under the name of Sophia H. Beach.



Additional Comments:
Mr. and Mrs. M.S. Beach were at one time owners of Manitou Mineral Springs, 

whicch were sold for $300.
