This is Emma Palmatier Mackey with her second husband Edward Jones shortly 
after their marriage in Florence, Colorado 13 May 1898. 

Additional Comments:
   Emma Palmatier was born in Poughkeepsie, NY to William and Julia (Ames) 
Palmatier. The family left New York after 1877 and were living in Macon Co., MO 
by 1880 when Emma married at 14yrs to Hiram Lee Mackey 21yrs. Hiram Lee Mackey 
was born 25 June 1859 in Whiteside Co., IL to Hiram T. and Elizabeth (Warner) 
Mackey. Elizabeth Warner Mackey died 22 Oct 1879 in Macon Co., MO. William 
Henry Palmatier died 28 Sept 1881 in Macon Co., MO. William Palmatier's widow 
Julia married to Hiram T. Mackey 12 Nov 1887 in Kirksville, Adair Co., MO. 
Hiram and Emma Palmatier Mackey along with their "newlywed" parents moved 
spring of 1888 to Colorado. Hiram Lee Mackey was sick with TB so Emma drove the 
wagon. Hiram Lee Mackey died 3 Nov 1893 in Coal Creek, Colorado and was buried 
in Union Highland Cemetery in Florence, Colorado. Hiram and Emma's only son 
George Hiram Mackey drown in Coal Creek 7 July 1896 and is buried alongside his 
father.
