Issac McRae, Wednesday Evening, January 15, 1896, Hon. George Yule and Miss Lizzie McBurney. The announcement will create no surprise, for Madam Rumor had long since said it was to be, but what did surprise the people was that Mr. Yule should succeed in giving all his friends the slip, be married and get out of town before they had a chance to shower congratulations and best wishes upon him and his bride. Hon. George Yule is well known to all. For years he has been prominent in political and social affairs, a leading citizen, rancher and cattle grower. He numbers his friends by the hundreds, not only in Garfield County, but all over Colorado and, when they learned of his latest venture, The News is sure their congratulations will be hearty and unanimous. Mrs. Yule is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McBurney, some of New Castle's most highly respected citizens. She is a lady of culture and refinement, a social favorite and has very many friends. The News but voices the sentiments of all in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Yule Godspeed. May life's richest blessings be theirs. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Yule left for an extended eastern trip and will return about the middle of next month. =================================================== Contributed for use by the USGenWeb Archive Project (http://www.usgenweb.org) and by the COGenWeb Archive Project USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organization or persons.
