ESTABLISHED 1871 JAMES JR. IVES, MANAGER 1911 ================================================= SULPHUR SPRINGS The chief town of Middle Park and county seat of Grand county, is located on the Denver, Northwestern & Pacific Ry., almost in the geographical center of the county. Here on the banks of the beautiful Grand river are found the wonderful springs of hot sulphur water, from which the town derives its name. The springs have a temperature of 110 to 117 degrees Fahrenheit and arise from more than twenty-five different sources. These springs have received the endorsement of high medical authority, and the day is not far distant when they will become the Mecca of thousands of health-seeking pilgrims, from all quarters of the globe. Surrounding the town are rugged precipices, forest-clad hills, both of sublime beauty, grassy knolls, wide-sterching valleys and the beautiful Grand river, in whose crystal depths hide the "speckled beauties" and their companions of the finny tribe.
