Death of William H. Borie: 
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 
Nearly everyone who has lived in Hinsdale County any length of time, knows William H
Borie, and all will be sorry to learn of his death, which occurred at this place, at
noon of Tuesday, February 25, 1896. The deceased had been sufferer for the last two
or three years with asthma, brought on working in the mines, and which finally
developed into miner's consumption. Mr Borie was born August 5, 1840 [Maryland] and
was 55 years, 6 months, and 20 days at time of his death. He came to Lake City about
twenty-one years ago. 

The Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church yesterday afternoon at 2
o'clock, after which the remains were buried in the City Cemetery.

Additional Comments:
 Married Frances Florence Flora, d/o V P & Elinor FLORA 13 Dec 1877 in Hinsdale
County. He was apparently a Civil War Veteran, possibly Navy, buried, I'm told, in
unmarked grave.
