            THE REAPER.

      It has come and gone taking with it a home comfort and joy. James, only son of
William and Florence Borie, died on last Saturday [23rd], aged one year and seven
months. 



          The home has lost its brightest joy, 

      The father's pride, the "mother's boy:" 

            The great immortal ahgel brings 

      A breath of sorrow on its wing. 

            But time, in shadows of the past, 

      Will soften every grief and pain; 

            This comfort through the years thou hast, 

      Beyond life's day, "We'll meet again."
