Enlistment date: 11/27/1943 in Denver, CO. Date of active service: 7/8/1944.
Military occupation: Radar mechanic bombardment 867.
Military decorations: WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Good 
Conduct Medal.
Did not serve overseas.  Total time in service: 1 year, 11 months, 20 days.
Honorably discharged on 6/27/1946.

Additional Comments:
Knippel served in the U.S. at March Field, CA.  Installed, repaired, and 
maintained airborne radar units.  Made preflight and post flight inspections.  
Assigned speciality repairs and kept records of all units repairs.  Make 
recommendation to airborne radar crewman.
