William Lee, who settled on a ranch eight miles west of Denver in September, 1859, and who lived on it since, died there Saturday aged 74 years. The funeral will be held from the homestead today, and will be under the auspices of the Pioneers. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Notice was sent out by the Pioneers last night that those desiring to attend the funeral could take the 11:30 Golden car at the Tramway loop and reach the ranch in ample time. A number of old friends of the family will attend. Lee never sought nor held public office, but confined himself to ranch- ing and became independent as the result of his efforts.
