Wife of Joe Pettis Ament.  He was born about 1823 and died November 2, 1879 in
Muscatine County, Iowa.  He is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery there.  Their
children, from census records, were Mabel, born Mabel, born about 1876, Grace,
born about 1878, and Vernon, born November 1889, all in Iowa.  Abbie states in
the 1900 Chicago, Illinois census that she was widowed and the mother of six
children with six children living.  William Dudley Ament, another son not found
in the census records living with his parents, is buried in Crown Hill Cemetery,
Jefferson County, Colorado with his wife, Goldie Scott Ament.
