Former Goldenites Married Sunday evening at 9 o'clock a very simple and pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Danford in Arvada, when their daughter, Luella, became the bride of Harvey Mathews. The ceremony was performed by Rev. G.A. Cage in the presence of the family and a few intimate friends. Mr. Mathews is a graduate of the class of 1913 of the School of Mines. The bride was graduated from Golden High school the same year. The couple stood beneath a canopy of smilax. They were unattended. The bride's wedding gown was white net. She wore a corsage of pink rose buds and lilies of the valley. The young couple left for New Orleans by way of Chicago on WEdnesday, for which place they will sail for Bluefields, Nicaragua, on January 12. Those present at the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Danford, Mrs. Mary Mathews, the mother of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Danford and daughter of Sterling. C.L. Nelson, of Denver, Mrs. G.A. Cage, Frank Downes, the Misses Mazie and Jessie Danford, Hazel Lamm, Rosemary Ladner, Ovella and Artie McKinnies, Erma Downes, and Frances Zolman, of Denver.
