Marriage Certificate, issued 29 Oct 1894, filed 29 Oct 1894
Certificate No.:     25231

Marriage License, The State of Colorado, La Plata County
Know all men by this Certificate that any regularly ordained Minister of the 
Gospel, authorized by the rules and usages of the church or denomination of 
Christians, Hebrews, or religious body of which he may be a member, or any 
Judge or Justice of the Peace, to whom this may come, he not knowing of any 
lawful impediment thereto is hereby authorized and empowered to solemnize the 
Rites of Matrimony between Mr. J.C. Turner of Animas Valley of the County of La 
Plata and Miss Fannie Kavanaugh of Durango of the County of La Plata and to 
certify the same to said parties or either of them under his hand and seal in 
his ministerial or official capacity and thereupon he is hereby required to 
return his Certificate in form following, as hereto annexed.

Additional Comments:
J.C. is John Charles Turner. The certificate states that he was previously 
married and his wife was deceased. Miss Kavanaugh states that she had never 
been married. The pastor's name is difficult to read, but it looks like Rev. 
Clayton Grimmell or Grinnell.
