Turner of Animas Valley of the County of La Plata and Miss Fannie Kavanaugh of Durango of the County of La Plata and to certify the same to said parties or either of them under his hand and seal in his ministerial or official capacity and thereupon he is hereby required to return his Certificate in form following, as hereto annexed. Additional Comments: J.C. is John Charles Turner. The certificate states that he was previously married and his wife was deceased. Miss Kavanaugh states that she had never been married. The pastor's name is difficult to read, but it looks like Rev. Clayton Grimmell or Grinnell.
