STERLING.

    An important town in northeastern Colorado, in the agricultural and stock
    raising district, on the Julesburg division of the U. P. Ry., also division
    point on the B. & M. Ry. County seat of Logan county; 100 miles northeast of
    Greeley. With large irrigation ditches a considerable area of excellent
    farming lands have been improved in the vicinity of Sterling, and new
    settlers are coming constantly. A large beet sugar plant is located here.
