History: This cemetery was started in 1888. It is built in the Northwest part of the area and may have been a replacement cemetery for the Hope cemetery which kept flooding from ground water. Only a small portion of the allocated land is used as the cemetery, most of the land is still leased as farm and pasture land. Transcription by: Robin Hood and Kathleen Haney or True Service, PO Box 953, Clifton CO 81521 There is a plot map for this cemetery, however, it is not accurate. There are rows on the map that are not in the cemetery and another part of the cemetery appears random because of its shape, while the map is plotted out. I have divided the cemetery into the North, South, and West sections. The stones will be listed by row from East (23 « Road) to the West, and plots from the entry road to the fence. Note: Dates in the form 1111-9999 were transcribed from mortuary markers. While they must mean something to the mortician, they bear no obvious relationship to the date of death or burial.
