F. Bartlett and Miss Vera Stewart were united in the holy bonds of matrimony in the presence of a throng of friends at the Presbyterian church. The church was beautifully decorated for the event, at promptly 8 o'clock the bridal party entered to the strains of a beautiful wedding march by Mrs. W. E. Echols. The groom, accompanied by his best man, F. E. Cotton, both dressed in the conventional black, advanced to the alter and were met by the bride and bridesmaid, Miss Mary Mortensen. The bride was elegantly gowned in white Crepe de chene trimed in point lace and her bridal veil was held in place by fragrant orange blossoms, which were sent to her from California by Mrs. Wotring. She also carried a bouquet of white roses. The bridesmaid was handsomely attired in a gown of green silk mull and carried white carnations. Over the alter was suspended a large floral bell, under which the bride and groom stood amid a profusion of beautiful, fragrant flowers, while Rev. Cameron performed the pretty and impressive ceremony. The newly wedded couple then with their relatives and intimate friends, went to brides home where a reception was held and hearty congratulations received. The home was most beautifully arranged and a bounteous supper spread. The bride is the handsome and accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Stewart and has been a resident of Brush since her childhood. She possesses those traits of true character than makes her admired by all. She is also a leader in Brush's best society, and has long been identified with church work and is a true christian. Mr. Bartlett has been identified with the business interests of Brush the past two years, and is now manager of the Brush Drug Company. During his residence here he has gained the confidence of the people by his good business methods and correct habits. In the social circles of Brush he has been an active and popular member. The happy couple have started married life (in) the Hanson property in the west part of Brush, where they will be at home to their friends. The Tribune joins their host of friends in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett a long, happy and prosperous wedded life. ------------------------------------
