He attended school there until 1898 when he came with his parents to the "wild west." He attended a country school until 1902 when he entered the Brush High School. He is a very studious boy and is fond of singing. He does not know what he will do next year, but, while he thinks he likes farming better than school, he will very probably attend Business College, for every farmer needs a practical business education. George Peterson was born on a farm near Akron, Colorado, November 27, 1886. On account of the dry climate at that place his parents moved to Brush, Colorado, where George entered school at about the age of six. He has attended school here since and finished the course. He is a generous hearted lad and full of mischief but never forgets his duties. He does not know definitely what he will do next year. Marguerite Elizabeth Lyon was born May 20, 1889 at La Crescent, Minnesota. She lived there until 1896 when her parents moved to Clyde, Minnesota, where she resided until March, 1903, when she went back to La Crescent. She entered the high school at La Crosse, Wisconsin in September, 1903. She went one year and then stayed out one-half year and re-entered in February, 1905. Moved to Colorado and entered the Brush High School in December, 1905. She is earnest, lady-like and always attentive to her lessons. Verne McClurg was born February 17, 1890 near Scranton, Iowa. He entered school about the age of six, moved with his parents to Colorado in 1901 and went to a country school until 1902 when he entered the Brush High School. Verne is a very smart boy but likes to bother the girls. He is exceedingly fond of red hair. He will probably be a college lad next year and may some day shine as a lawyer. Gertrude Mortensen first saw the light of day on November 20, 1887 near Akron, Colorado. While very young she moved with her parents to Greeley and a little later to Ft. Morgan, but, perceiving their great mistake, came to Brush in 1891, where she has resided ever since. She started to school here at the age of six and has taken the entire course here. Gertrude has a sweet disposition and is a most attractive girl, making many friends wherever she goes. She is planning to enter college next year.
