Bryant Cemetery, Phillips County, Colorado http://files.usgwarchives.net/co/phillips/cemeteries/phbryant.txt Donated by: Rick Davis Transcribed May 28, 2001 and donated June 13, 2001 Inscriptions from the headstones transcribed on May 28, 2001, along with interesting information about the Bryant Cemetery. There are just a few graves. Absalom Phelps CO. E. 48th KY. INF. (1st grave in the Bryant Cemetery) Henry W Coats Born May 23, 1900 Died Sep. 3, 1901 Unmarked Grave Edward Davis Born Nov. 20, 1875 Died June 12, 1890 (The headstone for this grave was moved by the family to the family plot in Cornell, Nebraska. The grave was not moved.) The Town of Bryant and the Bryant Cemetery were originally in Logan County. In 1889 they were incorporated into Phillips County. This old pioneer cemetery is unmarked, with no roads or trails leading to it. It simply sits in the center of a wheat field. I believe the information to be true and accurate. Should new information be found, I will gladly make any changes required. ***************************************************************************** Contributed for use by the USGenWeb Tombstone Project (http://www.usgenweb.org) and by the COGenWeb Project Archives (http://www.usgwarchives.net/co/cofiles.htm) by Alicia Poreda jace_p@msn.com - June 5, 2001 USGenWeb Project NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the internet, data may be used by non-commercial researchers, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
