G.A. Spence of Holyoke officiating, William H. Irwin of Holyoke and Miss Lavina True of this county were married. These young people are well and favorably known to the people of this part of the county. Will Irwin has grown to young manhood in our county and is highly respected by all who know him. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. J.A. True of this county and is very highly esteemed by a large circle of acquaintances in Holyoke and vicinity. They will make their home in Holyoke. The HERALD wishes them a prosperous and happy married life. Page Four S.H. Johnson made a business trip to Denver this week. J.E. Shepard has put a cement walk in front of his residence block. Mr. and Mrs. John Heginbotham went to Denver the first of the week to remain a few days. LOST - pair of gold, rimless glasses. Finder please leave same at post office -- S.E. Birdsall Peter Odland of South Dakota arrived in Holyoke Saturday for a few days visit with his brother M. Odland of this county. Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Irwin and children went to Denver the first of the week for a visit with the family of D.F. Freeman. Miss Briggs of Memphis, Missouri arrived in Holyoke last week for a visit with her brother, Prof. Briggs, principal of the high school. Mrs. Nichols, mother of Mrs. C.A. Presba of Holyoke, who had spent the past year with her daughter left Monday for her home in Chicago. At the recent election in Wray, the proposition to issue bonds for the construction of water works for the town was defeated by vote of about 4 to 1. Jesse Clark of Gravity, Iowa arrived in Holyoke last week for a visit with his brother George of Holyoke. He may decide to make his home in our town. Mrs. Sagon is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Dr. Smith of Holyoke. She is on her way to her home in Indiana from Colorado Springs where she spent the winter. Carl Shuler has purchased the Tappan residence property in Holyoke. Otto Fulscher has moved into his fine new dwelling house. He now has the best dwelling house in Phillips County. Mrs. B.C. Millage and daughter left Holyoke Monday for Hitchcock, South Dakota, where they will make their home. Her many friends in Holyoke regret very much to see her leave. BEACHVILLE Fine weather this. Mr. Bennett of Holyoke spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. Heller. Miss Hartman is working for Mrs. Clark. A large number of the Holyokeites were in this vicinity Sunday. Mrs. Kenney returned home last week after an absence of a few months. Mr. and Mrs. Austin and family spent Sunday at Alva Trego’s. Mrs. and Mrs. Les Kepler visited at Mr. Heller’s one day last week. Mrs. Will Woodhams and children spent a day last week with her sister Mrs. George Utesler. Earl Berryman left Holyoke Thursday for a visit in Illinois. Dr. Ina Patterson left Holyoke Monday for Lincoln, Nebraska to take charge of the practice of a lady physician of that place during her absence from the city. The new town council organized Monday evening with Mayor Thompson in the chair. D.I. Sears was appointed marshal and water commissioner and entered upon the duties of the office April 14. Shepard & Slack, who recently purchased the business house and stock of groceries of S.M. Wright, have put a new floor in the building, repainted it and cut an arch way through the partition between the grocery store and meat market. They have also put in a larger stock of groceries. SHERIFF’S SALE By virtue of special execution or lien foreclosure etc issued out of the clerk’s office of the district court of Phillips County and state of Colorado, and to me directed whereby I am commanded to make the sum of six hundred and 40-100 dollars ($600.40) and costs of suit $16.50 the amount of a certain judgment recently obtained against Joseph Dallstream in favor of E.N.
