M. Stevenson (1881) THEODORE A. SLOANE. Mr. Sloane was born in Rush County, Ind., in 1847. He was educated at Greencastle, Ind., where he graduated in 1871. Soon after finishing school, he came West, and settled at Pueblo, where he became connected with the People, a newspaper then being published. He was afterward managing editor of the People about two years. He studied law, and was admitted to the bar in 1876. He was County Superintendent of Public Schools two years-from 1876 to 1878. In the fall of 1878, he was appointed Clerk of the District Court at Pueblo, which position he now holds. Mr. Sloane is highly regarded by the citizens of Pueblo.
