WRITER. Harold D. Writer is a member of the firm of Writer Brothers, automobile dealers of Pueblo, conducting business at No. 119 North Santa Fe street. He was born in Middletown, New York, on the 24th of April, 1894. and is a son of Louis M. and Belle (Mapes) Writer. His parents came to Colorado in 1900, first settling in Denver, where his father engaged in business. It was in the public schools of this city that Harold D. Writer pursued his early education, which was supplemented by study in the University of Colorado, in which he pursued a three years' course. Having an opportunity to enter the automobile business and encouraged by his parents to take this step, he procured the agency for the Paige and Harroun cars for southern Colorado. He maintains a service and repair station and has built up a business of gratifying proportions, now employing five men. He greatly enjoys hunting and fishing when leisure permits and is fond of all phases of outdoor life but concentrates his efforts and attention upon his business affairs, which are wisely and creditably conducted and are bringing to him substantial success.
