Nevada, Colorado Springs, passed away at Memorial Hospital Aug 9, 1980, following lengthy illness. Member, First Baptist Church, Fowler. Retired automotive foreman, Pueblo Army Depot, Veteran, U.S. Navy, WW II. Mr. Nesslage is preceded in death by daughter, Carol Ann, May 30, 1973. Survivors include four sons and two daughters, Kenneth J. Nesslage, Oxnard, Calif., Ray Nesslage, Layton, Utah, Ronald L. Nesslage, Lamar, Mrs. Renee L. Thompson, Pueblo, and John W. Nesslage and Michelle M. Nesslage, both of Belen, N.M. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Service 2 p.m. Tuesday, T. G. McCarthy Chapel, with the Rev. Leaon Griswold, pastor, Park Hill Baptist Church, officiating. Interment, Chico Cemetery. Those who wish may make contributions to the Heart Fund in memory of Mr. Nesslage. Family may be contacted at 183 Regency Blvd. Elizabeth Martinez, late of 215 Tyler, died unexpectedly Aug. 8, 1980, in Denver. Formerly of Las Vegas, N.M., a member of the Title One Organization of District 60 Schools. Wife of Pete Martinez; mother of Mrs. Frank (Rose) Encina of Albuquerque, N.M., and Paula Lucero and Lawrence Martinez, both of Pueblo, and daughter Pita Lucero of Las Vegas, N.M. Also survived by brothers and sister, Leo Lucero of Albuquerque, N.M., Richard Lucero, Robert Lucero and Lorraine Lucero all of Las Vegas, N.M.; two grandchildren, and numerous aunts and uncles. (Photo) Duane Edward Medina, 318 Jefferson, passed away Aug. 7, 1980 as a result of a swimming accident. A 10th grade student at Central High School. Duane was born in Pueblo Aug 16, 1965. He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, where he served as altar boy. Survived by his mother, Mrs. Louise Medina, Pueblo; father and step- mother, Joe and Mary Medina, both of Denver; sister, Mrs. Tina Montez, Sacramento, Calif.; step-sisters, Mrs. Geneive Cruz, Rawlins, Wyo., and Mrs. Debbie Chavez, Denver; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar (Bernice) Ortivex, both of Pueblo; step brothers, Joe Lee Chavez, Ben Chavez , and Steve Medina, all of Denver; brother-in- law, Augustine Montez, Sacramento, Calif.; two nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
