Peerman Pueblo Star Journal - January 23, 1910 Arthur F. Peerman, 37, passed away yesterday, January 22, 1910, due to lead poisoning contracted while at work in a smelter at Baker City, Oregon. Mr. Peerman was a former employee of Philadelphia Smelter, but moved to Baker City to assume a more lucrative position. Mr. Peerman moved to Pueblo about a month ago, and resided with his brother-in-law, W. H. Ashford, 913 East Fourth Street. Funeral will be conducted from the residence, 2 p.m. this afternoon with Rev. Scott Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the family lot in Mountain View. Members of Pueblo Lodge No. 8, I. O. O. F. of which the deceased was a member will exemplify the burial ritual of that organization. Additional Comments: Arthur F. Peerman was a son of John Wesley Peerman and Harriett Allyn Peerman Logue. His wife, Carrie, gave birth to their son, Arthur L. Peerman in May 1910. She remarried first to Charles W. Jones in 1916, having a daughter, Jewell Louise Jones, with him. Carrie married Peter H. Stuller in 1922. She shares Arthur's tombstone in Mountain View Cemetery. Arthur's sister, Augusta "Gussie" Estelle Peerman married Harvey William Ashford on August 24, 1904 in Pueblo, Pueblo County, Colorado.
