She was the forth of a large family of children. In 1842 James Daugherty with his family moved to Indiana, located at Darlington for a short time. Then for a year or two he had an interest in a carding and wool factory in Crawfordsville. In 1845 they moved to Ladoga. Mr. Daugherty built a grist mill, the business which for years was one of the leading industries of the town; he also built for his family a beautiful and comfortable home. In 1855 Francis was married to B.F. Goff. After living in Indiana for some time they moved to Kansas, leaving there they came to Meeker in the fall of 1888, where the husband and father answered the last call July 1910. To this union was born nine children, eight of which lived to grown, James D. dying here in 1892. Harry, Joe, John, Andy, Homer, Bertha and Celia with thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren, one brother and sister (being seventy eight and eighty years) are left to morn her death. Mrs. Bertha Ralston and Mrs. Celia Rader and Homer Goff were the only ones with her till the last. Grandma Goff became a member of the Christian Church at the age of fourteen. Rev Elston held the service at the house, having as his text "The after glow and the beautiful sunset" which we all know was her life from which she will be greatly missed. This obituary was published in The Meeker Herald February 25, 1922. The following are my notes: Francis N. Daugherty married Byron Fisher Goff, 21 Feb. 1855 in or near Ladoga, Montgomery, Indiana.
