Before a large gathering of friends and relatives, in Elk hall last evening at 5:30 o’clock, Miss Alma Flatow, daughter of Bernard Flatow, one of Cripple Creek’s merchants, was bound in holy wedlock to Saul Rothschilds, one of Gillett’s young business men, the ceremony being performed by Judge Brewster. At the hour named an excellent orchestra filled the hall with enlivening strains of Mendellscha’s wedding march, when Moses Sustein took the arm of Mr. Rothschilds and advancing to the center of the hall met the bride who entered on the arm of her father followed by Miss Johanna Flatow, and Harry Harris as bridesmaid and groomsman respectively. Advancing thus to within the presence of Judge Brewster the connubial knot was tied, and then the congratulations were in order. Miss Flatow was attired in a gown of white satin, and her bridesmaid in one of pale pink rose tint. All the gentlemen present wore the conventional broadcloth evening pattern. Following the congratulations came the wedding feast, a sumptuous affair accompanied by the cup of congratulation for long life and happiness and prosperity – for the newly wedded pair. The guests included, besides those already mentioned; Louis H.R. Von Ruecau and wife, Abram Rapp and wife, S. Porges and wife, Judge Parier and wife, S.J. Polin and wife, Dr. Warburg and daughter, C. Kismer and wife of Gillett, Mrs. S. Weinburg, Miss Hanna Flatow, Messrs, Louis Weinberg, George Kohn, M. Klauber, C. Klauber, Samuel Nathan, Lousi Reiff, Harry Harris, Jr., Joseph, Harry and Richard Flatow. Jan 15, 1896: Marriage Licenses.
