Long Family Cemetery, Yuma County, Colorado http://files.usgwarchives.net/co/yuma/cemeteries/longfam.txt Donated by Lee Zion Apr 15, 2006 This 1890s family cemetery is on the homestead of John E. Long, located in the NE1/4 Sec. 20, T1S, R43W, 6th P.M. The cemetery is in the northwest corner of the quarter section just off County Road 27 halfway between Roads HH and JJ. The land is privately owned. From Wray follow US 385 south for five miles, follow the "Beecher Island" signs to the left at Road 30, after four miles turn west off the Beecher Road onto Road 27 for another half-mile. The cemetery is on the left. From the road it appears to be on a raised island containing tall grass and weeds in the plowed field. There were only two surviving markers when I visited in April 2006. There are two other known burials in the cemetery, all were members of the John Long family. Ora E. Long 10 Jan 1893 - 2 Apr 1894 Son of C.L. and M.J. Long (single marker) John E.
