Funeral service for Nora Jane CHESNEY was held June 7 at the Yuma Methodist 

Church with Rev. Erwin Kiel officiating.  Burial was made in the Yuma Cemetery.

	Nora Jane CHESNEY was born at Rock Port, MIssouri on July 11, 1889 and 

passed away at her home June 4, 1971.

	She was the seventh child of eleven children born to Albert and Isabel 

JORDAN.  In 1902 she moved with her parents in a covered wagon to Hardy, 

Nebraska.

	She was united in marriage to Ambrose W. CHESNEY on December 31, 

1908.  To the union four children were born; Eva, Vivian, Bernice and Ambrose 

Jr.	

	She and her husband moved with their family to Yuma December 12, 

1918.  In 1926 they moved to Greeley and returned to Yuma in 1933.  She spent 

the remainder of her life here.

	After her husband's death she made her home with her son, Ambrose, 

until his marriage.  She joined the Methodist Church at Hardy, Nebraska when 

she was just a girl.

	She leaves to mourn her passing her three daughters, Eva HALL and 

husband, Frank; Vivian WASSON and husband, Leonard, and Bernice DRESEN and 

husband, Ed; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; two great-great 

grandchildred, and three sisters.

	Preceding her in death were her husband; their only son; one grandson; 

her parents; three brothers and five sisters.
