Dale had been a patient sufferer for many months with never a word of complaint, but always had a smile for everyone. He was loved by young and old alike. Everything that medical aid and loving hands could do was done for him but to no avail. The Savior had called and he answered with a smile of happiness on his lips. Funeral services were held Friday, November 24, at 2 p.m. at the Vernon Methodist church, the services conducted by Rev. Hollars of Eckley. The remains were laid to rest in Glendale cemetery. Dale Abner Dilka leaves to mourn his departure, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dilka; five sisters, Mrs. Edd Green, Fay, Dorothy, Beulah and Alice; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Dilka, and many other less near relatives and many friends whom he loved. There is a vacant place in our home that con only be filled by the memory of his bright and loving smile.
