                                  Saturday, October 4, 1890   YUMA PIONEER 
 
          J.W. Dudgeon, a prominent citizen of Friend, Colorado, who is well 
and favorably known at Wray, died at the Valley Home at Wray, October 2, 
1890.  The remains will be taken to Friend, Colorado for interment.
 
          He was an acknowledged leader in home political circles, was a 
delegate to the state and county republican convention at Denver, was a Notary 
Public and one of the principal owners in the townsite at Friend, Colorado.
