John Heindel, pioneer of Yuma County, having settled here in 1887, father of 
William Heindel of this city and of John and Thomas Heindel of Idaho and Mrs. 
Chris Pein of Portersville, California, died at the home of his son, William, 
last Friday from ailment incident to age.  He lacked 15 days of being 87 years 
old.  Funeral services were held at the St. Andrews Catholic Church of Wray 
Sunday afternoon and interment being in Grandview Cemetery.  He was born in 
Germany, but came to this country in early life.  His wife preceded him in 
death in 1900.
