He was taking the horses to the river to water, riding a bronco, when the animal pitched and fell backward, the horn of the saddle striking the boy in the stomach. The father, who was at Eikson, Colorado, was notified by telegram of the sad accident, and arrived Monday morning. The burial took place Monday. Rev. Graff conducting the services at the home and at the cemetery. Martin Heindel, youngest son of John Heindel, died Sunday morning. He was thrown from a horse the day before. The horse reared and fell backward, catching Martin under it, the saddle striking him in the stomach. He was able, with the help of his sister, to get to the house and went to bed. He remained conscious up to within an hour of his death. He was buried in the Wray Cemetery on Monday. Martin was 14 years old and an exceptionally bright, active boy and the pet of the family and neighborhood.
