(Doll) Hitchcock Wednesday, January 1,1969 at the Presbyterian Church in Wray with Rev. Everett Erickson officiating. Interment was held in Grandview Cemetery. Mrs. Hitchcock was born November 4, 1885, the daughter of William and Matilda Brunker Thompson, at Port Huron, Michigan and passed away Monday, December 30,1968 at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 26 days at the Renotta Nursing Home. The family moved to Lancing, Michigan and then to Haigler, Nebraska in October of 1899. The children attended school in St. Francis, Kansas and also Wray. She was married to William Henry Hitchcock, July 28, 1915 in Denver. Following her husband's death, January 2, 1938, Mrs. Hitchcock operated the mortuary in Wray for some time, later selling to Phil Lockwood. She then engaged in business with Violet Goodman in the Style Shop. Mrs. Hitchcock was a member of the Presbyterian Church from January 1906. Survivors include a step-daughter, Erma Maag of Peetz; two sons, William K.Hitchcock of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Hugh B. Hitchcock of Denver; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six brothers and two sisters.
