"Buck" Kasel, 78, born Sept. 3, 1924, passed away Jan. 16, 2003. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Betty Smith Kasel; sister, Edith Charter; nephew, James (Sherry) Charter; brother-in-law, Emil (Frances) Smith; and sister-in-law, Margaret Kirschmer, both of Wray, Colo.; sister-in-law, Bertha (Harold) Block, La Junta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Louise Kasel. Buck was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in World War II. He retired from the CF&I Steel Corp. in 1983 after 40 years of service. He was a member of KSKJ Lodge No. 7 and the Pueblo Aerie No. 145 (FOE). Buck enjoyed gardening. Viewing, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Monday, St. Joseph Church.
