The funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at the Christian Church in Wray with the Rev. G. Arland Johnson officiating. Interment was at Grandview Cemetery. On April 12, 1892 Mr Muller was married to Maude Weaver and the couple lived to celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary before Mrs Muller's death. The family moved from Iowa to Nebraska City, Nebraska in 1894, and later moved to a farm near Lebanon, Kansas, where they made their home for many years and were active in the life of the community. From there they moved to Wray where they spent their remaining years. Eight children were born to Mr and Mrs Muller. Two sons died in infancy, a daughter Vaun Corbett, died in 1927, and a son, Ferd, died in 1952. A grandson, Donald Clair, who had lived in the home since infancy and was regarded as a son, died in 1957. The surviving children are Noah and Clair of Wray, Lenna Ashby of Sterling and Emma Fleenor of Greeley. Mr Muller was baptized in the Oak Creek Christian Church, south of Lebanon, Kansas, and later, after moving to Wray, joined with his wife and family in placing their membership in the Wray Christian Church. Mr Muller was a rugged individual who endured many hardships common to the pioneer. He was a man of courage and high principle. Besides the children, survivors include 21 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
