Niehaus Niehaus Karl W. Niehaus, age 94, of Minneapolis, previously of New Richland and Albert Lea, passed away on October 10, 2004. He was born in Wray, Colorado on Jan. 7, 1910. Karl's full life gave him the opportunity to work construction, be employed by the Wilson's Meat Packing Co. in Albert Lea, be a farmer in Hartland, own the Sweet Shop Restaurant in New Richland, work as a machinist in Minneapolis, and work maintenance at the Ebenezer Home until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 wonderful years, Stella; his parents, William and Talette Niehaus; brother, Calvin Niehaus; sisters, Lucille Odaffer, Lillian Nelson, and Opal Rafdal. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, (names deleted); sisters-in-law, and; brother-in-law; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 11 am Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 50th & Knox Ave. S., Minneapolis. Visitation at church 1 hour before service. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Albert Lea, MN. Memorials preferred to the Mount Olivet Careview Home or Hospice of the Twin Cities. Dad always called you friend, even if you were a stranger, and was a help to friends and neighbors when help was needed.
