Myrle "Tillie" Peters was born February 20, 1921 at Beecher Island to Ernest 
and Myrle Smith.  She passed away November 21, 2002.

Tillie lived her childhood and early years at Beecher Island on her parent's 
farm.  In 1946 she married Wilbert "Sam" Peters of Vernon.  To this union two 
children were born, Samuel J. and Chrisse.

Over the years Tillie worked on the farm and ranch as a partner to her 
husband.  In later years she worked as a cook at a local restaurant and 
nursing home.

Tillie was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Myrle Smith, husband 
Wilbert Peters, brother William Smith and sisters Mildred Simmons and Susan 
Meis.

She is survived by her children Samuel and Chrisse Peters, brother Emil Smith 
and wife Frances, sisters Margaret Kirschmer, Bertha Block and husband Harold 
and Betty Kasel and husband Leonard.  She is also survived by many nieces and 
nephews.

Private family graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 
2002 in Grandview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Plains.

Spellman-Schmidt Funeral Home in Wray was in charge of arrangements.
